Today, on January 22nd, a momentous event unfolds in Ayodhya as Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate the much-anticipated Ram Temple. The ceremony, a beacon of cultural and spiritual significance, precedes the pivotal ‘Prana Pratishtha’ ritual of the deity Ram Lalla. This grand occasion has garnered attention from across the globe, with invitations extended to approximately 7,140 guests from various walks of life, both domestically and internationally, many of whom are expected to grace the event.
In an unprecedented move, the Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra, responsible for the temple’s management, has issued invitations to a diverse group of dignitaries. This includes 258 judges, lawyers, and legal luminaries, alongside 30 scientists and 44 defense personnel. Additionally, the event will be adorned by the presence of 15 artists, 50 academicians, 16 literary figures, 93 athletes, 7 doctors, and 30 administrative officers. The media and social media sectors are also represented, with around 164 professionals invited. Furthermore, 5 archaeologists, an impressive 880 industrialists, 45 economic experts, 48 political party leaders, 106 members of the RSS and VHP, 15 members from the Shri Ramjanmbhoomi Trust, 92 NRIs, 45 political activists, 400 laborers, family members of ‘Kar Sevaks’, and a remarkable assembly of 4,000 monks and sages are also expected to participate.
The event has also drawn the attention of some of India’s most prominent industrialists. Among the invitees are billionaires like Mukesh Ambani and his family, Ratan Tata, Gautam Adani, Anil Agarwal, Ashok Hinduja of the Hinduja Group, Azim Premji, Nusli Wadia, Sudhir Mehta of the Torrent Group, G.M. Rao of the GMR Group, Niranjan Hiranandani, Kumar Mangalam Birla, Ajay Piramal, and Anand Mahindra.
In a similar vein, the glittering world of Bollywood will not be left out. Icons such as Amitabh Bachchan, Rajinikanth, Hema Malini, Madhuri Dixit, Kangana Ranaut, Asha Bhosle, Arun Govil, Nitish Bharadwaj, Madhur Bhandarkar, Prasoon Joshi, Alia Bhatt, and Ranbir Kapoor have been invited to join the celebration. The event will also see cricket legends like Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli, Harbhajan Singh, and Anil Kumble, potentially marking their presence.
