Anant Ambani’s Vantara team traveled over 3,500 km from Jamnagar to Tripura in less than 24 hours to rescue his elephant and calf. This came on Saturday after Vantara, a Tekke Foundation project associated with Mukesh Ambani’s youngest son Anant Ambani, received an email requesting help from animals in need.
According to a video widely shared on social media, a medical team was immediately dispatched from Jamnagar to Unakoti area in Kailasahar in Tripura. Upon arrival, they immediately took care of the distressed animals. The quick reaction was captured on video, demonstrating the team’s timely intervention.
The video, shot in a female voice, thanks Anant Ambani and Team Vantara for their quick response to save the sick elephant and his calf. A woman is heard narrating how the team reached their base in Tripura within 24 hours after sending them an email seeking help.
I would like to thank Anant Ambani for sending the entire Vantara team to Yunakoti district of Tripura for this sick elephant and its calf, but the next day a team from Vantara came. “I would like to sincerely thank everyone who helped me with this problem and saved this elephant,” he said. This video is shared with the hashtag #AnantBhai.
What is Vantara?
Vantara, meaning ‘jungle star’, is an initiative launched by Reliance Industries and Reliance Foundation earlier this year. Our focus is on rescuing, treating and rehabilitating injured and endangered animals.
Vantara is located in the green belt of Reliance’s Jamnagar refinery complex in Gujarat. The facility includes a 3,000-acre Elephant Center, home to more than 200 rescued elephants, and the Green Animal Care and Rehabilitation Center, home to more than 2,000 animals representing 43 species.
