BJP leaders wrote in their report, West Bengal has now become a ‘mini Pakistan’ under Mamata Banerjee’s rule. Especially BJP supporters are being treated like anti-national elements.
The four-member fact-finding committee constituted by BJP national president JP Nadda to investigate the political violence in West Bengal after the Lok Sabha elections has made several serious allegations against the state’s Chief Minister in its report.
In its report submitted to the BJP president on Friday, the committee has even alleged that West Bengal has now become a ‘mini Pakistan’ under Mamata Banerjee’s rule.
JP Nadda had formed the committee
To take stock of the political violence in West Bengal after the Lok Sabha elections, BJP president JP Nadda had constituted a committee of four leaders under the leadership of former Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb on June 15. Former Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad, Rajya Sabha MP and former UP DGP Brijlal and MP Kavita Patidar were also included in this four-member committee. This committee of four BJP leaders has prepared a report after visiting West Bengal. The leaders of the committee met party president Nadda on Friday and submitted their report to him.
It is being told that the committee has made a big allegation on the Chief Minister of the state in its report and said that West Bengal is going through extreme political violence under the rule of Mamata Banerjee. Loss of lives, rape, even attacks on women and children have become common during elections. The festival of democracy has become audacity here. To grab political power, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is hijacking all civil rights and destroying humanity in every election. Where the Chief Minister herself is a woman, the police does not register the complaint of the gang rape victim under political pressure. This is a matter of shame for humanity, but West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee remains a mute spectator and she has become an idol of violence.
Bengal has become a mini Pakistan – BJP
The report further alleges that West Bengal has now become a ‘mini Pakistan’ under Mamata Banerjee’s rule. Especially BJP supporters are being treated like anti-national elements. She is throttling the Indian Constitution and democracy everywhere. No incident of political violence has been reported from anywhere in the country. But, Mamata Banerjee is running the state on three patterns. Supporters of any opposition political party cannot cast their vote there, no one is allowed to file nomination against TMC and those who do not agree to these two things are treated brutally.
‘CAPF should be deployed’
The BJP committee has recommended deployment of CAPF locally to prevent violence in the state, increasing the tenure of their deployment, securing BJP offices, visiting all areas and providing compensation in appropriate cases, approaching the Supreme Court and High Court for appropriate relief where investigation by central agencies is required or intervention of courts is required to enable the workers to return home, taking punitive action against bureaucrats who harass people who vote against TMC in various ways and also providing financial assistance to the severely affected families.
The report also said that today a large part of West Bengal is filled with illegal immigrants and Rohingyas, who are getting safe shelter under the collusion strategy of TMC.
