Parliament: The Congress MP said that during the Congress regime, the allocation for education was 3.36 percent of the GDP, but in the Modi government it became 2.9 percent.
Mughal In India: Congress MP Mohammad Javed on Thursday (August 1) accused the central government of ruining the education system and adopting a policy of discrimination and said that if there were no Muslims in the country, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) would not have even opened its account (in the elections).
Participating in the discussion on the demands for grants under the control of the Ministry of Education for the year 2024-25 in the Lok Sabha, he also said that the Mughals lived in the country for 300 years, so they are not going to be erased from history by this government’s erasure. Javed said that the government should not discriminate.
‘If there were no Muslims in the country…’
Mohammad Javed alleged, “It (BJP) is ruling by creating anti-Muslim, anti-Dalit, anti-student, anti-poor sentiments. If there were no Muslims in India, BJP’s account (in elections) would not have been opened.” Amidst interruptions from the ruling party members, he said, “They talk a lot about Bangladesh, Bangladesh’s GDP is better than ours…now they say go to Bangladesh.”
Mohammad Javed, MP from Kishanganj, Bihar, took a dig at the BJP and said, “Improve the education of the country. Nothing is going to happen by removing the name of the Mughals. The Mughals lived for 330 years. We will not be removed (from history) by your removal.” He alleged, ”Education is the basis of any society, but the Modi government is ruining the foundation of education.”
‘For education during the Congress rule…”
He said that during the Congress rule, the allocation for education was 3.36 percent of the GDP, but in the Modi government it has become 2.9 percent. The Congress MP said that there are a large number of vacancies for teachers and if this situation continues, then how will education take place.
He claimed that in the last eight years, 78 thousand government schools have been closed in which poor children study. Raising the issue of ‘NEET paper leak’, he said, ”Modi government created NTA, but in seven years, 70 cases of paper leak have occurred.”
