Actor Jagadeesh, famed for his portrayal of Keshava in the film Pushpa: The Rise, has been arrested following allegations linked to the tragic suicide of a junior artiste from Hyderabad. Reports from iDream Media and NTV confirm his arrest by the Punjagutta police, currently under remand.
Allegedly, Jagadeesh took compromising photos of the junior artiste without her consent, later harassing her by threatening to share these images on social media. Tragically, the artiste took her own life on November 29, prompting investigations into the actor’s alleged involvement. However, neither Jagadeesh nor his team have responded to these allegations publicly.
Following the artiste’s suicide, the police conducted a thorough inquiry at the scene and proceeded with a post-mortem examination. Subsequently, the Punjagutta police initiated an investigation, leading to Jagadeesh’s arrest. The court has remanded him for 14 days. Additionally, reports suggest that the artiste’s father filed a complaint against Jagadeesh after his daughter’s demise, citing threats made by the actor.
Jagadeesh, who debuted in 2018 with Nirudyoga Natulu, gained recognition through films like Mallesham (2019), George Reddy (2019), and Palasa 1978 (2020). However, it was his role in Pushpa: The Rise (2021) that propelled him to fame. His character, Keshava, serves as Pushpa Raj’s close friend, providing a narrative of the protagonist’s ascent, garnering appreciation for his performance in the movie.
