UP Cabinet: To develop tourism in the state and to provide better information to the tourists, now a district tourism officer will be deployed in every district. There will be an office of the tourism department in every district. There will be tourism facility and information centers. So that tourists and devotees will not have to wander here and there for any kind of information.
UP Cabinet: In this sequence, on Tuesday, the cabinet has approved the reorganization of the organizational structure of the tourism department. According to the department, in view of the rapidly increasing number of tourists in the state, there is a need to change the organizational structure of the department. Under this, the proposal to create the posts of one Director Tourism, one Director Tourism Eco Tourism, one Additional Director, 59 District Tourism Officer and 38 Additional District Tourism Officer was agreed upon.
Tourism and Sanskrit Minister Jaiveer Singh said that in this sequence, there has also been a consensus on abolishing the posts of 17 Tourism Officers, 13 Assistant Tourism Officers, Personal Assistant to Director General Tourism, Documentation Assistant etc. The tourism officer will be adjusted to the post of District Tourism Officer and Assistant Tourism Officer to the post of Additional District Tourism Officer. Along with this, the cabinet also approved the revision of the pay band of many posts.
He said that having tourism officers in the districts and having tourism facilities and information centers will be very convenient for tourists and travelers. At the same time, employment will also be created directly and indirectly due to the rapidly increasing tourists. The Tourism Minister said that the Tourism Department is developing basic facilities at tourist places. Work is being done on connectivity so that tourists do not have to face any kind of inconvenience. In view of the immense possibilities of tourism in the state, there are 12 tourism circuits in the state. Where tourists travel as per their wish. This system will be further improved with this change.
Energy Department gets Rs 2000 crore
In the supplementary budget presented in the Vidhan Sabha on Tuesday, a provision of Rs 2000 crore has been made for the Energy Department. It will be spent on giving relief to farmers and weaker sections. Similarly, Rs 4.2 crore for Rihand and Obra Dam Improvement Project. A provision of Rs 500 crore has been made for the works being done under the RDSS scheme, Rs 983.92 crore under revenue grant. A provision of Rs 511.88 crore has been made under tariff subsidy. Energy Minister AK Sharma has thanked Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for making budget provisions.
483 villages will be included in the Azamgarh Development Authority limit
To increase residential facilities to the increasing population in the city, the government has decided to expand the limit of Azamgarh Development Authority. The proposal related to this has been approved by the cabinet on Tuesday. According to the proposal, 483 new villages will be included in the limit of Azamgarh Development Authority. Till now only 159 villages were included in it. This proposal was placed by the Housing Department in the cabinet chaired by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, which has been approved. Let us tell you that Azamgarh Development Authority was formed in June 2006. At that time, 62 villages of Azamgarh Nagar Palika and 97 border villages were included in the boundary area of the development authority.
Subsidy and incentive allowance of Rs 1000 crore to nine units
The cabinet approved the incentive allowance and subsidy to be given to nine units for industrial development. This amount is about Rs 1000 crore. Apart from this, Patanjali Group, which is building a food park in Noida, has been given two years of additional time. Under the Industrial Policy of the year 2012, incentive allowance was payable to 8 units. They will be given a total of Rs 877 crore, which was approved by the cabinet itself.
Letter of Comfort will be issued to Ashok Leyland’s factory being built in Lucknow. Under this, capital subsidy, state GST, reimbursement in electricity duty and reimbursement on skill development will be given. This amount is about Rs 117 crore. Patanjali has been given two years of additional time to build a food park in Noida. The deadline for building the food park was over in 2023. The company had said that due to the Covid period, the food park could not be built on time. Additional time has been given for this.
1120 buses will be purchased
In the cabinet meeting on Tuesday, a proposal to spend Rs 500 crore to strengthen the fleet of the Transport Corporation was approved. Under this, one thousand diesel buses and 120 electric buses will be purchased in the bus fleet.
