Early Career and Legal Stint

After completing his education, including an LLB from Allahabad University and an LLM from Delhi University, Shri Pradeep Kumar Dubey embarked on his professional journey. He commenced his career as a practicing advocate from 1985 to 1987. His acumen and dedication led him to be selected for the Uttar Pradesh Judicial Service in August 1987.

Judicial Tenure and Advisory Roles

Shri Dubey served as a Judicial Magistrate in the Civil Courts of Lucknow from 1987 to 1991. Subsequently, he worked in the Allahabad District Court as a Judicial Magistrate from 1991 to 1994. His expertise and commitment earned him advisory roles, where from September 1994 to November 2006, he served as Legal Advisor/Additional Legal Advisor to the Governor of Uttar Pradesh.

Administrative Leadership

In February 2007, Shri Pradeep Kumar Dubey took on additional responsibilities as an Additional District Judge until July 2007. From January 2009 to March 2012, he served as the Principal Secretary, Parliamentary Affairs, Uttar Pradesh Government, and Additional Legal Advisor to the Governor. He also held additional responsibilities at the Chief Minister’s Office.

Presently, Shri Dubey holds the prestigious position of Chief Secretary, Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly. His role involves overseeing various legislative matters and ensuring the smooth functioning of the assembly.
