Ladki Bahin Yojana Maharashtra First Installment: Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said on Wednesday that the first installment of ‘Ladki Bahin Yojana’ will be released during the festival of Rakshabandhan next month. The festival of Rakshabandhan will be celebrated on 19 August. Recently, Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister Ajit Pawar announced the Ladki Bahin Yojana in the Maharashtra budget. Today, Devendra Fadnavis along with Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar was in Gadchiroli district to lay the foundation stone of Surjagarh Steel Private Limited where he gave information about the first installment of this scheme.

After attending the program in Gadchiroli, Devendra Fadnavis informed the media, “We are working towards releasing the first installment of ‘Ladki Behan Yojana’ during the Rakshabandhan festival from 15th August to 19th August. Applicants who submit the form by 31st August will get the installments of July and August next month.”
Devendra Fadnavis also said that the last date for registering the name for the financial assistance scheme has been extended from 15th July. The last date for submitting its form was extended even before the demand of the opposition because there is a huge crowd of women in Anganwadi, Gram Panchayat centers and government offices. Earlier the last date for application was 15th July which is now till 31st August. The Maharashtra government has decided that no needy person should be deprived of the scope of this scheme. This scheme of the Maharashtra government is getting the support of the common people.
What is Mukhyamantri Manjhi Ladki Behan Yojana?
Under the ‘Mukhyamantri Manjhi Ladki Behan’ scheme, married, divorced and destitute women aged between 21 and 60 years will get Rs 1500 every month. The annual family income of the beneficiaries should be limited to Rs 2.5 lakh.
Integrated steel plant will bring job opportunities for 7000 people – Devendra Fadnavis
Devendra Fadnavis also highlighted the potential of Gadchiroli district, a part of which is affected by Left Wing Naxalism. He said that the district will contribute 30 per cent of the finished steel production in Maharashtra due to significant investments. He said that the integrated steel plant to be built in Wadlapeth with an investment of Rs 10,000 crore will generate employment for 7000 people. The project will have a capacity of producing 80 lakh tonnes of steel. Similarly, the steel production capacity of Lloyds Steel Plant in Gadchiroli will be 120 lakh tonnes.
