Eligibility Criteria: Empowering Women

Age Requirement:

To qualify for Ujjwala 2.0, applicants must be women who have reached the age of 18 or above. This ensures that individuals of legal adulthood are empowered through this initiative.

Single Household Connection:

An essential criterion for eligibility is that the applicant’s household should not possess any existing LPG connections from other Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs). This stipulation ensures equitable distribution and prevents redundancy within households.

Eligible Categories:

Women from diverse backgrounds are encouraged to apply, particularly those belonging to the following categories:

  • Scheduled Castes (SC)
  • Scheduled Tribes (ST)
  • Beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Gramin)
  • Most Backward Classes (MBC)
  • Antyodaya Anna Yojana (AAY) recipients
  • Tea and Ex-Tea Garden Tribes
  • Forest Dwellers
  • Residents of Islands and River Islands
  • Individuals enlisted under SECC Households (AHL TIN)
  • Poor Households identified through the 14-point declaration process

Required Documentation: Ensuring Compliance

Know Your Customer (KYC):

Applicants are required to furnish essential KYC documents to facilitate the application process effectively. These documents include:

  • Aadhaar Card serving as both Proof of Identity and Proof of Address (mandatory for all except Assam and Meghalaya residents)
  • Ration Card issued by the respective State Government or other State Government-issued documents certifying family composition
  • Self-Declaration as per Annexure I (for migrant applicants)

Aadhaar Details:

Banking Information:
