Independence Day 2024: Every year 15th August is celebrated with great pomp in India. This day is considered as the day of independence. India got freedom from British rule on 15th August 1947. On this day people sing patriotic songs along with flag hoisting, parade, cultural programs. Now you can visit some special places with your family or friends on this Independence Day.

This year i.e. on Independence Day 2024, you can visit Delhi’s Red Fort with your family. This is a beautiful place, where on the day India got independence in 1947, the country’s first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru gave a speech from this fort. Apart from the Red Fort in Delhi, you can also visit India Gate.

On this Independence Day, you can visit Agra Fort. This fort is a wonderful example of Mughal architecture. In Agra, you can visit places like Moti Masjid, Diwane Aam and Diwane Khas, Taj Mahal. You will get to see many parades here on Independence Day.

Apart from this, you can visit Mehrangarh Fort of Jodhpur. This fort is known for its emotional architecture and beautiful view. Here you can see many palaces, temples and museums. If you want to show your children something related to history, then this place can prove to be perfect.

If you are a resident of Mumbai or around Mumbai, then you can go to August Kranti Maidan. In this ground, Gandhiji blew the bugle of Quit India against the British on 9 August 1942. Here you can come to visit this ground with your family.

Apart from this, you can go to visit Chandrashekhar Azad Park in Prayagraj with your family. In 1931, Chandrashekhar Azad fought with British soldiers. Chandrashekhar Azad sacrificed his life to protect the country at the age of 25.

We all have heard about Jallianwala Bagh. In 1919, on the day of Baisakhi, freedom fighters planned a meeting in Jallianwala Bagh to protest against the Rowlatt Act. After this, it was ordered that whenever people came here, bullets would be fired without any warning.
