Sabarmati Express: Sabarmati Express (Banaras-Ahmedabad) derailed near Govindpuri station in Bhimsen section of Kanpur under Jhansi division at around 2:30 am on Friday night and its 22 coaches derailed.
Sabarmati Express Train Derail In Kanpur: Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav has given his reaction on the Sabarmati Express train accident. He has termed it a conspiracy. Ashwini Vaishnav wrote on the social media platform X, “The engine of Sabarmati Express (Varanasi to Ahmedabad) collided with an object placed on the track near Kanpur at 02:35 am today and derailed. Sharp injury marks have been seen. Evidence has been preserved. IB and UP Police are also working on it. No passengers or staff have been injured in this accident. Train has been arranged for the passengers to travel further from Ahmedabad.
According to the information, train number 19168 Sabarmati Express (Banaras-Ahmedabad) was going towards Ahmedabad. The train suddenly derailed near Govindpuri station in Bhimsen section of Kanpur under Jhansi Division at around 2:30 am on Friday night and its 22 coaches derailed. However, there has been no loss of life or property in the accident. Nor is there any report of anyone being injured.
The driver told why the accident happened
According to the driver, prima facie The boulder hit the engine due to which the cattle guard of the engine got badly damaged i.e. got bent. After this the coaches derailed. At the same time, all arrangements have been made by the railway administration for the convenience of the passengers. The passengers are being sent to Kanpur City by bus. Senior officials are present at the accident site.
Memo train arranged
On the other hand, ADM City Kanpur Rakesh Verma told news agency ANI that 22 bogies have derailed, but no one has been injured. All the passengers are being sent to Kanpur station by buses, memo train is also coming. It is good that there has been no loss of life of any kind.
